The Man On The Throne - Chapter 2

Chapter 2
Field trip
~ At School ~
"Okay children before you rush for your lunch, There will be a field trip this Friday, if you are interested bring a permission slip signed by your mother or father," after saying that our teacher Mrs. Lacey let us out for our lunch.
I rushed over to my friend Hannah who was waiting for me by the schools fountain.
"Hey Em," she yelled out excitedly. 'Em' is her way of calling me.
"Hey Hannah," I said
"About that field trip this Friday, are you going?" She asked
"I don't know," I said, "It depends on if my mom allows me."
I could say she was beyond exited because this years field trip was to "The National Museum Of Arts," And Hannah wanted to become a Historian when she grew up.
Then the bell rang. RNNNNNNG RNNNNNNNG RNNNNNNG.
"See you later," I said
She had History and I had Biology.
~ Later that evening ~
"Hey mom, I'm home!" I yelled.
"I'm in the living room Honey," she said
I threw my bag down and rushed to my mom. When I got there, I saw her flipping through an old album with my photos in it. I sat down next to her and looked into the album. And then I started to giggle. It was a photo of me when we went hiking when I was 10 years old. I thought there was hidden treasure there. So started to dig up the whole camp. Crazy right? I know.

And the next photo was a 'CLASSIC'

This time both me and my mom laughed. It was a picture of me when I was 7, I was trying to stay awake so that I could meet Santa Clause.
The next photo had a pic of me trying to build a snow man for the first time.

And before mom flipped to the next photo my stomach started to grumble. Mom laughed.
"Looks like your hungry," she said with a twinkle in her eye, "Come on, your lunch is on the table."
"Thanks mom," I said.
"Mom, Can I go to the field trip this Friday?"
"I don't see why not," she said, "Where are you going?"
"The National Museum Of Arts," I said, "It's going to be awesome! Even Hannah is coming."
"That sounds good," she said, "I'll right down a permission slip for you to take to Mrs. Lacey."
I reached over the table to give my mom a hug.
"Thanks," I said.
